Wounded Warrior Project Carry Forward 5K - San Diego
The Carry Forward 5K is an event organized by Wounded Warrior Project that takes place on August 15, 2026, at NTC Park at Liberty Station in San Diego. The event distance is 5K and participants may walk, jog, or run.
Participants can choose one of three optional ways to carry support: Flag to show patriotism, Fitness to carry a weight representing responsibilities borne during service, or Fierce to carry another person to symbolize mutual support among warriors. Funds raised support Wounded Warrior Project programs, connection, and support for wounded veterans.
Registration pricing is tiered: through March 31 adults pay $45, from April 1 through event day adults pay $55, children ages 6 to 17 pay $25, and children 5 and under are free. Registered Wounded Warrior Project warriors, veterans, and active duty military may be eligible for promotional rates. Participant kits are distributed the week of the event and include an event T shirt, drawstring bag, bib, and other items; registered children receive a race bib only. Medals are available at the finish line.
