World Triathlon Cup Edmonton - July 16 to 19, 2026
The event takes place at Hawrelak Park and features a four-day multisport program open to amateur and age-group athletes. The schedule includes aquathlon, sprint triathlon, sprint duathlon, cross triathlon and duathlon, a para sprint, and a team relay.
Key races and distances listed:
- Standard Aquathlon: Swim 1000 m, Run 5 km (age minimum 16).
- Do North Sprint Triathlon: Swim 750 m, Bike 20 km, Run 5 km (age minimum 16).
- Sprint Duathlon (only draft legal): Run 5 km, Bike 20 km, Run 2.5 km (age minimum 16).
- Sprint Cross Triathlon: Swim 500 m, Bike 10 km, Run 4.5 km (age minimum 16).
- Sprint Cross Duathlon: Run 1 km, Bike 15 km, Run 4.5 km (age minimum 16).
- Open Para Sprint Triathlon: Swim 750 m, Bike 20 km, Run 5 km (age minimum 15).
- Do North Sprint Triathlon Team Relay: same distances, teams of 2 or 3 athletes.
Cross courses start in Hawrelak Park lake or nearby trails and include single track, double track and cross country sections such as Hawrelak Outer Trail, Emily Murphy Connector, EMP Blast, Silver Fox and other access routes. Several events award qualifying quota places for the 2027 World Triathlon Multisport Championships or for the 2027 World Triathlon Championships in Hamburg, with age and category rules specified per race.
