Workington Festival Of Running
The Workington Festival Of Running takes place in Workington, Great Britain on 2 August 2026. The event includes multiple road races and a free kids fun run, with registration handled at Workington Cricket Club.

Race numbers are issued at registration. Entries on the day may be available but are subject to a maximum of 200 runners in each race. Registration closes on 31 July 2026 and withdrawals or number swaps are allowed until 25 July 2026; refunds may be subject to a processing charge.
Course arrangements follow previous years with a lead bike and a sweeper runner for all races. Course details will be published by Cumberland AC and Workington Town Council. There will be a race safety briefing before each race and first aid provision will be available.
Entry fees are set by distance with affiliated reductions. A £2 discount applies to online entries that include both the 5 km and 10 km; on-the-day entries incur an additional £3. Adults accompanying a child in the fun run do not need to enter unless they want a medal.
Prizes include top finishers and age-category awards, plus medals and certificates for many finishers. Facilities listed for the day include vouchers for refreshments for certain finishers, free massages for runners, showers, toilets, changing rooms, a bar, stalls and children’s entertainment. Parking is not permitted in the cricket ground unless prearranged; nearby parking and marshals will direct participants and spectators.
