Workington Festival Of Running
The Workington Festival Of Running takes place in Workington, Great Britain on 02 August 2026. The event features multiple races with registration centred at Workington Cricket Club. Race numbers are issued at registration and entries on the day are subject to a maximum of 200 runners per race. Registration closes 31 July 2026.

All races use the same start as in previous years. Each race will have a lead bike and a sweeper runner. Cumberland AC runners will accompany participants who are unfamiliar with the area to the start. Course details will be published on Cumberland AC and Workington Town Council websites. There will be a race briefing before each race and first aid provision is available.
Entry fees are published for each distance: half marathon £24 (£22 affiliated), 10K £14 (£12 affiliated), 5K £8 (£6 affiliated), and the 1K fun run is free. A £2 discount applies to online entries for both the 5K and 10K. Entries on the day incur an additional £3. Withdrawals and number swaps are allowed until 25 July 2026; refunds may incur a processing charge and after that date refunds or changes cannot be guaranteed.
Prize presentations take place throughout the day with trophies, medals, certificates and drawstring bags awarded across races and age categories. Facilities include refreshments vouchers for half-marathon and 10K finishers, free massages for runners, showers, toilets, changing rooms, a bar, stalls and children’s entertainment. Parking is not permitted inside the cricket ground without prior permission; nearby parking and marshal signage will direct participants.
