Trail Running in Seven Bends State Park
The Woodstock Warrior is a multi-distance trail event held in Woodstock, Virginia. Participants navigate a 10-mile looped course that features mixed terrain, including gravel roads, two-track dirt roads, and sections of single-track trail. Each loop contains approximately 1,600 feet of elevation gain.
The event offers several distances and categories for participants:
- 100 Miler: Features a 33-hour time limit.
- 50 Miler: Includes a 15-hour time limit.
- 50k: Has a 10-hour cutoff time.
- 10 Miler: Provides a 4-hour time limit.
- Last Man Standing Ruck: A format where the final lap must start before the 25-hour mark.
Specific regulations apply to aid and support. This is a cup-less event, meaning runners must provide their own hydration vessels. Pacers are permitted only for the 50-mile and 100-mile distances after the third completed loop. There are two designated aid stations where participants must report if they choose to withdraw from the race.
Finisher recognition varies by distance. Runners completing the 100-mile race receive buckles, while finishers in all other distances receive medals. Additional awards are presented to top finishers in each race category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
