Event Details

The Woodstock Warrior is a trail running event scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2026, in Woodstock, Virginia. It takes place at Seven Bends State Park, with a start location at 1191 Lupton Rd.

The course consists of a 10-mile looped route on mixed terrain, including gravel roads, two-track dirt roads, and some single-track trail. Each loop has approximately 1800 feet of elevation gain.

The event features several race distances with specific cutoffs:

  • 10-mile: 4-hour cutoff
  • 50k: 10-hour cutoff (must meet the 10-mile cutoff to continue)
  • 50-mile: 15-hour cutoff (must meet all prior cutoffs to continue)
  • 100-mile: 33-hour cutoff (must meet all prior cutoffs to continue)
  • Last Man Standing Ruck: No cutoffs but must start the final lap before the 25-hour mark.

Rules and Logistics

Pacers are not allowed for the 10-mile or 50k distances. Runners in the 50-mile and 100-mile events may pick up a pacer after completing their third loop. Pacers must ensure their own safety and cannot provide physical assistance or carry the runner's gear.

If a runner needs to drop out of the race, they must declare this at one of the two aid stations. The event is cup-less, meaning participants must bring their own hydration vessel.

Awards

Finishers of the 100-mile distance receive a buckle. All other finishers receive medals. There are also awards for top finishers in each distance.

The organizing group, G.O.A.T. Trail Running, is described as a Veteran-led organization focused on promoting mental and physical health and building community through trail running. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
