Woodstock CT Marathon & Relay
The Woodstock CT Marathon and Relay is a road race held in Woodstock, Connecticut, covering the full marathon distance of 26.2 miles. The course begins at the Woodstock Hill Common and finishes with a Finish Line Event at Taylor Brooke Brewery, located at 181 Route 171 in Woodstock. The organizer lists an event address of 543 Route 169 for race activities.
The route runs on rural and scenic backroads and includes rolling hills, nearly 2,000 feet of elevation gain, blind turns, some unpaved sections, and portions where runners share the road with traffic. The event emphasizes community support and race-day safety. The 2026 edition carries a Totally 80s theme with costume prizes. The event has raised over $40,000 for Community Kitchens of Northeastern Connecticut and other local charities.
Race options include an individual marathon entry and a team relay. Relay teams consist of 2 to 5 runners, with leg distances around 4.5 to 6 miles for five-person teams; exchanges are at marked locations and teams must arrange their own transportation to exchange points. Every relay team member must register and receive a numbered bib; the final team runner receives a marked, chipped bib and is responsible for wearing the chipped bib across the finish line. Bib pickup is available Friday evening, May 1 at Taylor Brooke Winery or Saturday morning at the start line. Entry fees are listed as $75 for individual marathon and $35 per relay entry.
