Event Overview
The Wonderful Water Run takes place in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, at 1100 Crosby Ave. This running event is held in collaboration with myTEAM TRIUMPH and offers multiple distances for participants. The event focus is on inclusive racing, categorized into two specific participation roles: Angels and Captains.
Participation Roles
Participants select a role based on their physical requirements and the nature of their involvement:
- Half Marathon Captain: Individuals with a disability of any kind who are the heart of the team.
- Half Marathon Angel: Able-bodied athletes who run to support inclusion and guide Captains to the finish line.
- 10K Captain: Participants with disabilities completing the 10 km course.
- 10K Angel: Supportive athletes guiding Captains through the 10 km distance.
- 5K Captain: Individuals with disabilities participating in the 5 km race.
- 5K Angel: Athletes providing guidance and support for the 5 km event.
Community Features
The event utilizes a Photo Circle to document and share race day memories. This platform allows athletes to view photos from previous years and add new images from the current event.
