The event is described as an introductory night challenge to encourage and promote women participation in night running events. The route follows the Sugarloaf Way and finishes at the local GAA club. All race entry fees will be donated to Bray Women's Refuge. A sweeper will accompany the field.
The course distance is 7.00 km with approximately 277 m of climb. The event difficulty is rated Easy with the typical ascent range 200 m to 500 m and distance range 6 km to 10 km. The route is fully marked and GPS use is allowed.
Mandatory kit is Level A Basic and includes a showerproof, windproof jacket. Organisers also require trail running shoes and a torch suitable for running at night, preferably a head torch. A back-up torch or spare battery is recommended. The exact kit to be carried will be finalised on the day and advised at registration. Runners must have means to carry required kit.
