Women's Distance Festival, Springfield
The Women's Distance Festival is a women-focused two mile run or walk held on July 11, 2026, in Washington Park, Springfield, Illinois. The course goes through park grounds and is open to women and girls of all ages. Participants may run or walk, and strollers are allowed. Pets are not permitted in the live race due to insurance and liability restrictions.
A kids' fun run for children age 12 and under follows the live two mile event; that fun run is untimed and includes a medal and a treat bag for each child. In the finisher area the event provides bottled water, bananas, and snacks.
Results are available live during the morning and on the official timing site; participants who opted in during registration may receive a text message with their time after finishing. Award categories include Overall, Masters, and multiple age groups from 14 and under through 80 and over; awards are announced at a post-race ceremony. There is no refund policy, and if the live event cannot be held as planned, registrants will be converted to the virtual race option.
