Women's Distance Festival 5K
The Women's Distance Festival is a community 5K run and 5K walk held on Sunday, June 28, 2026. This is the 39th year of the event and it moves to Winrock Town Center, with the venue listed as Winrock Park at 2100 Louisiana Blvd NE.

The course is two loops around the outer perimeter of Winrock Town Center, starting and finishing on the east side of Winrock Park. Mile markers are placed at miles 1 and 2. Parking is plentiful on the east side of the park. A First Aid station will be provided. All finishers receive a flower and chocolates, and refreshments are available after the race.
Registration options include mailing a completed form with a check payable to ARR to the event PO Box, using packet pickup, registering on race day, or registering online at RaceEntry when online registration opens April 1. Postmark deadline for lower fees is May 24. Fee tiers are listed for members and nonmembers for early, late, and packet pickup/race day registration.
Age groups range from 0-14 through 75 and up. Awards for the 5K run include top three overall, top three masters, and top three in each age group; the 5K walk awards the top three overall. Proceeds benefit Running 505, a local wellness program for 5th to 8th graders that promotes activity and education. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
