Women's Distance Festival 5K Run/Walk - Sylvania, OH
The event is scheduled for July 11, 2026, at Fossil Park in Sylvania, Ohio. It is the 45th annual running of this event. Although the event title lists a 5K distance, the course will be 3 miles this year due to course limitations.
The program is women only and offers two event formats: an individual run or walk and a two-person mother and daughter team event. All entrants receive shoe tags. Mother and daughter teams must both register; teams are scored by combined times. Team award categories are mother/adult daughter and mother/minor (under age 18) daughter.
Registration opens May 29, 2026 and closes July 9, 2026. The standard registration fee is $10.00; a discount is available for club members.
Awards are presented to the first overall and first master runner, to the top three in each age group, and to the top three teams in each mother and daughter category. Additional recognitions include youngest and oldest finisher awards. The first ten women to finish wearing a dress or skirt receive special prizes. All entrants are entered into a raffle drawing.
