Polar Paws & Santa Claws takes place on December 14, 2025 at the Toledo Zoo in Toledo, Ohio. The event offers a 5K run/walk (two registration options, including a "with swag" option and a "medal only" option) and a Kids' Cub Run for children 12 and under. Event features and logistics
5K registrants receive a collectible medal (first 850), wearable swag and a collectible cup (first 700), a custom bib with chip timing, complimentary post-race hot cocoa, and zoo admission to Lights Before Christmas. The Kids' Cub Run includes an ice slide pass. Packet pickup is scheduled on Dec 11 and Dec 12 at Dave's Running Shop in Sylvania; race-day packet pickup is available inside the zoo aquarium. Parking and entry are through 2 Hippo Way (Zoo main lot); parking is free. Restrooms are located inside the aquarium; there are no restrooms on the course. There is one water station on the course. Pets are not permitted inside zoo grounds; service dogs should be reported at the gate. Donations of gently used running shoes and new children’s hats, gloves, scarves, and socks are collected at packet pickup and on race day in front of the aquarium.
