Wolf Creek Trail Run
The Wolf Creek Trail Run is an annual event held in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, organized by the PB Kiwanis Club and the US Forest Service. The event takes place on the Wolf Creek Trail system, located approximately 0.60 miles north of the Highway Patrol Station on Forestry Road 3107. Proceeds from the event are used to support Kiwanis Bacon Memorial Park.
Participants can choose from three distinct distances:
- Half Marathon: A long-distance trail run.
- 6K: A shorter trail running race.
- 1.7 Mile Walk: A non-competitive walking event designated as "Walk The Forest."
The course utilizes the local trail network, and water stations are positioned at specific intervals, including the North Wolf Creek road crossover (Oak Ridge Trail) and the South Wolf Creek road crossover (Wolf Creek Trail). Additional water may be available at the intersection of Wolf Creek Trail and Crooked Branch Trail.
Registration includes a T-shirt and specific medals based on performance and participation. Medals are awarded to the top two runners in each age division for the 6K and to the top male and female finishers in the Half Marathon. All Half Marathon finishers receive a medal. Age divisions for men and women include 18 and under, 19-35, 36-50, and 51+. There is a course time limit of 3 hours and 15 minutes for the Half Marathon and 1 hour for the 6K.
