Woking Spring Triathlon & Junior Aquathlon
The event combines pool-based swims, an open-road bike circuit and a lapped park run at Woking Leisure Centre and Woking Park, Kingfield Road, Woking. The swim uses a six-lane competition pool operated by Freedom Leisure with a spectator viewing gallery. Swims longer than 300 m start with 150 m in lane 1 and then continue in a snake pattern. Entrants provide an estimated swim time for start seeding.
The bike course leaves the leisure centre and runs between Woking, Mayford and Jacobs Well. SuperSprint competitors complete one lap, Sprint competitors complete two laps. The route is predominantly flat with a few inclines and returns to transition via a right turn at a junction.
The run takes place inside Woking Park on a lapped route that is about 80% tarmac and 20% hard packed trail. Junior aquathlon races use variations of the adult route and pass through central park sections multiple times, allowing spectator viewing.
Event features listed by the organiser include a well marked course, marshals, spectator friendly routing, free event photos, a custom medal and finish line snacks. The junior series operates across Kent, Surrey and Sussex with points scored at events and the best six of nine results counting. Junior inclusion requires Triathlon England membership with South East as the home region. The event lists Alzheimer Research UK as a charity partner.
