WNY Pride 5K and LGBTQ+ Wellness Event
Niagara Pride presents the 5th annual WNY Pride 5K and LGBTQ+ Wellness Event on May 9, 2026 at SUNY Niagara in Sanborn, NY. The event combines a community 5K fun run or walk with a day of health and wellness activities focused on LGBTQ+ needs.
The program brings together local health providers as vendors to share information about LGBTQ+ specific and LGBTQ+ affirming services. On-site testing and screenings will be available, and a Shopping with Pride Village will feature LGBTQ+ and ally vendors selling items, crafts, and merchandise. The schedule includes drag performances and a new WNY Pride 5K Drag Race where local drag performers race to the finish line.
The 5K is described as all inclusive for participants of all ages and ability levels, and local businesses, agencies, and Pride groups are encouraged to enter as teams. Parking is free on campus. Participants receive a hot dog, chips, and soda or water as part of registration.
Organizers have a sponsorship goal of $30,000 to establish an LGBTQ+ Youth Drop-In Program in Niagara County. Sponsorship levels range from Bronze to Diamond and offer benefits such as mention on the event shirt, route signage, waived entry fees, vendor space, and special recognition.
