Event overview
The Wirral Coast 5-Miler takes place on 11 January 2026. The race is a flat, out-and-back route along the Wirral coast beside the Irish Sea. The course starts in New Brighton and passes the Gunsite at Leasowe Bay before returning along the promenade to the finish. The event is chip-timed via Nifty Entries. On-site facilities include toilets at the start and finish, a water station on the course and at the finish, event parking, and number collection at the event tent. All finishers receive a bespoke RaceWirral/Wirral Coastal medal and a goody bag.
Participants must be at least 12 years old on race day; the age range listed is 12 to 89. Participants under 18 and vulnerable participants must be supervised by a legal parent or guardian while on the course. Refunds are not accepted, but transfers are allowed.
