Wirral Coast 5-miler
The Wirral Coast 5-miler is a flat, out-and-back road race on Sunday 11 January 2026. The event starts and finishes at The Derby Pool on Bay View Drive, Wallasey CH45 3QS. It is organised by Race Wirral. The event distance is 5 miles.
Course and logistics
The route runs along the Wirral coast beside the Irish Sea, starting in New Brighton, passing the Gunsite at Leasowe Bay, then returning on the promenade to the finish. On-course and finish provisions include a water station and on-site toilet facilities at the start and finish. The event uses chip timing provided by Nifty Entries. Participants receive a bespoke RaceWirral/Wirral Coastal medal and a goody bag.
Entry is open to those aged 12 to 89 on the event date. The listed entry fee is £25. Refunds are not accepted; transfers are allowed. The event currently shows no remaining places and operates a waiting list; if a place is offered, there is a 24-hour acceptance window and payment is taken only if a place is offered and accepted.
