About the race

The Wirral 10K is a coastal road race held in New Brighton with a single 10 km distance. The start and finish area is on Ian Fraser Walk / Coastal Drive and the course runs out along the waterfront toward Seacombe Ferry Terminal, where runners perform a U turn and return to New Brighton. The halfway point is just before the Seacombe Ferry Terminal.

The route is generally flat and described as fast. The event notes views of the Liverpool city skyline on the outward leg. Race day access to the start and finish area is from the north via the A554 and Harrison Drive; parts of New Brighton are closed to traffic on race day and parking is available on Coastal Drive.

Entrants must be 15 years or over on race day. Entry is capped at 750 runners. Included with entry are chip timing, a finisher T shirt, finisher goody bag and an event medal. Race packs are sent out roughly three weeks before the event. Race number details will be provided closer to the date. Competitors with a postal address outside mainland UK may collect their race number at the enquiry tent on race morning.

Results are normally available shortly after the event and a text alert is usually sent to entrants who supplied a mobile number. The organiser operates a no refund, deferral or transfer policy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
