About the race
The Wirral 10K is scheduled for 11 October 2026 on the New Brighton seafront, with the start and finish located on Ian Fraser Walk. The route follows Coastal Drive toward Seacombe Ferry Terminal, offers views of the Liverpool city skyline, and then loops back toward New Brighton for the finish. The advertised distance is 10 km.
Organisers describe the course as generally flat and fast and accessible for participants of different abilities. The event allows walking, jogging, running, or wheeling around the route. Entrants must be aged 15 or over on race day and the 10K is capped at 750 participants. Race packs are sent out approximately three weeks before the event; postal entries have a deadline after 21 September and late or unposted race numbers can be collected from the Race Office on the morning of the event.
Included for participants are chip timing, a goody bag, a finisher technical T shirt and a finisher medal. On the day there is limited baggage storage at the start/finish, water stations handing out bottles along the course, toilets at the start/finish, and first aid provision both at the start/finish and roaming around the course.
