Wirral 10K
The Wirral 10 km is a road race held on 11 October 2026 with the start and finish area located on Coastal Drive / Ian Fraser Walk in New Brighton. The course runs along the waterfront toward the Seacombe Ferry Terminal, where runners perform a U-turn and return to New Brighton. The halfway point is just before the Seacombe Ferry Terminal. The route is described as generally flat and suited to fast times.
Entrants must be at least 15 years old on race day. Entry to the 10K is capped at 750 participants. The event uses chip timing and provides a technical fabric finisher T-shirt, an exclusive medal and a finisher’s goody bag. Race packs are posted approximately three weeks before the event. Participants with a postal address outside mainland UK can collect their race number from the enquiry tent on race morning and will be emailed with further information.
On race day the south end of New Brighton is closed to traffic; access to the start and finish area is via the A554 and Harrison Drive. Race day parking is available on Coastal Drive near the start area. The organiser operates a no refund, deferral or entry transfer policy. In line with UKA guidance, the use of listening devices during the race is discouraged in the interest of personal safety. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
