Winter Whirl – 5K, 10K, Half Marathon
Winter Whirl takes place on 12/19/2026 at Mile Square Park, Parking lot D, 16801 Euclid St, Fountain Valley, CA 92708. The event offers three race distances and on-course support for participants.

The 5K uses a single loop; the 10K uses the same loop run twice. The half marathon follows a similar route with an additional out-and-back section. Courses are looped and start and finish at the same location. The course is not closed to other park users, so runners are asked to share the path. There are two water stations and restrooms along the course. Turns are marked with chalk, signs that say runner turn, and flags.
Logistics include bib pickup the day before at Sports Basement Orange County (time TBD) and at the start area on event day. Participants must wear their race bib on the front of their shirt. A gear check is available at the registration tent; participants should bring their own bag. All finishers receive a medal; overall first place male and female in each distance receive 1st place medals. Race results and photos are emailed the day after the event; race photos are free. Parking at Mile Square Park is $5 per car and limited free street parking is available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
