Winter Trail Run at L'Avenir
The Winter Trail Run takes place at L'Avenir Wine Estate in Stellenbosch and offers off-road routes through vineyards, orchards and flowing singletrack across Winelands countryside. The course routes use jeep roads, orchard tracks and singletrack and pass views of the estate dam and surrounding vineyards.
Distances available:
- 6 km short route on mixed terrain through vineyards and orchards.
- 11 km long route including neighbouring farm tracks and forest singletrack.
Event entries include a finisher medal and a Coke for every participant. Refreshment stations on both routes provide energy drink, fruit and cold water. Optional timing is available via an Amarider Trail Tag; tag rental is R25. Prizes are awarded to category winners and there are lucky-draw prizes such as L'Avenir wines, Sportsmans Warehouse vouchers, SOX products and a pair of 361 Degrees trail running shoes in the final draw. Fresh coffee and massage services are available at the venue.
Pre-entries close on 24 July 2026. Entry fees listed for the event include R170 for the 6 km route and R210 for the 11 km route; children under 18 pay R75 for online pre-entry. Late entries are available on the day for an additional fee, and youth entrants who enter on the day pay the normal late entry fee. The event is organised by Dirtpass.
