Winter Solstice Fun Run, Portland : 21 June 2026
The Portland Winter Solstice Fun Run is a community running event held in Portland on Sunday 21 June 2026. The event offers four main distances plus a free 1 km kids dash, and courses are open to running or walking. Courses are not suitable for prams or dogs. Registration is open up until race day and on-day entries are available. Portland Runners Club donates two dollars per entry to Beats Cycle for Hope.
Bib collection takes place at the Ploughed Field (across from the hospital) on event day and must be completed no later than 30 minutes before each event start or bus departure. Buses depart from the Ploughed Field on Bentnick Street; participants should arrive early relative to their bus time. The 25 km course carries a four-hour cutoff.
Distances and entry fees:
- 1 km Kids Dash, free, at the Ploughed Field
- Irish Mad Mile (second year), entry fee $20
- 9 km ProFeet Lagoon & Foreshore, entry fee $50
- 15 km Worley Lighthouse to Lighthouse, entry fee $70
- 25 km Lighthouse to Lighthouse - Trail, entry fee $90
