Event overview
The 3 Bays Running Festival takes place in Portland and the Great South West region on 1 and 2 November 2025. Registrations are open. The festival includes road races, a coastal trail ultra, relay options, and a hybrid challenge across the two days.
The 60 km trail ultra follows the Great South West Walk. The trail course is mostly single track and includes some beach sections. Road courses use public roads around Portland and include measured elevation figures for each distance.
Race distances and fees
- 60 km trail ultra (1 Nov) - Entry $150
- 102 km hybrid (1 & 2 Nov) - $10 additional after completing 60 km
- 42.2 km marathon (2 Nov) - Entry $120
- 21.1 km half marathon (2 Nov) - Entry $80
- 10.5 km quarter marathon (2 Nov) - Entry $50
Relay options on 2 November include primary school and secondary school relays, plus 4- and 8-person run and walk relays. Elevation gain is stated as about 300 m for the marathon, about 100 m for the half, and less than 40 m for the quarter. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
