AdventHealth Winter Park Road Race 10K and 2 Mile
The 49th annual Winter Park Road Race serves as the final event in the Track Shack Running Series. Held in Central Park, the event takes participants through the neighborhoods of Winter Park, Florida. The course is characterized by historic brick streets, tree canopies, and views of the Chain of Lakes near local residences.
Available race distances include:
- 10K
- 2 Mile
- Distance Dare (combined 10K and 2 Mile)
- Free Kids' Run
The 10K course is USATF certified and includes slight inclines. Participants in the Distance Dare complete both the 2 Mile and the 10K for a total of 8.2 miles. A dedicated children's run is available with distances ranging from 100 yards to 1 mile, categorized by age group.
Participants receive a gender-specific t-shirt and a finisher medal. Those completing the Distance Dare earn three medals in total. The event features a post-race celebration in the park area with refreshments. Registration is open for both in-person and virtual participation. For the in-person race, a 15 minute per mile pace is required to remain on the road; participants moving slower will be directed to the sidewalk. Strollers are permitted in the 2 Mile event but are strictly prohibited in the 10K.
Proceeds from the event support the Meridian Club of Winter Park Scholarship Fund and the Track Shack Youth Foundation, which provides grants to local youth health and fitness programs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
