Event overview
The Winnipeg Police Service Half Marathon 2026 is scheduled for Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Assiniboine Park in Winnipeg, MB, Canada. The event is offered as a live race day and as a virtual event. Race kit pick-up is at the Charleswood Curling Club, 4000 Grant Avenue, on the Friday and Saturday immediately before race day. The event is non-refundable; transfers are handled according to the event's bib transfer policy.
Race distances and format
- 21 km (13.1 mile) half marathon (solo)
- 5 km solo run
- 2-person relay - each participant completes about half the half marathon route (approximately 10.5 km each)
- Virtual Half Marathon and Virtual 5K options available
Registration opens on November 1, 2025. The live event includes on-site race-day services such as a dry clothing tent, merchandise trailer, and race day announcements.
Virtual, medals and fundraising
Virtual participants can upload results between April 25 and June 1, 2026. Finishers medals for virtual entries will be mailed the week following the live event; virtual registrations include a medal only. Race shirts are not included with virtual entries and are not mailed. The event raises funds for the Canadian Cancer Society and reports over CA$2.8 million raised to date.
