Winnetka Turkey Trot 2026
The Winnetka Turkey Trot takes place on November 26, 2026 on the Green Bay Trail at the Winnetka Train Station, 754 Elm St, Winnetka, IL 60093. The event uses a rolling start with multiple waves and includes a family division and a wave for walkers.

- 5K (3.1 miles) Speedy division
- 5K (3.1 miles) Family division
- 5K (3.1 miles) Free 5K option
Packet pickup is required for all participants; friends may pick up packets for others and organizers request groups arrange pickup in advance. Packet pickup is scheduled at Road Runner Sports in Wilmette on Nov 22 and Nov 25, and limited race day registration is available at the event with cash or check only. Hats are not guaranteed on race day and shirts have been provided in prior years.
There are no water stations on course because of congestion; post-race water and granola bars are provided at the finish area and near the main building. There are no awards, but all children receive a number one medal. Results are posted online with J3 Timing. Volunteers are requested for course marshal, water station, and packet pickup roles. The event proceeds in rain, shine, or snow; organizers and the municipality reserve the right to change the course. Public lots and street parking are available. No refunds.
