Winnetka Turkey Trot 2026
The Winnetka Turkey Trot takes place on November 26, 2026, on the Green Bay Trail at the Winnetka Train Station, 754 Elm Street, Winnetka, IL 60093. The course starts and finishes on the trail on the west side of the station. The event uses a rolling start with separate speed and family waves.
Packet pickup is scheduled before race day at Road Runner Sports, Edens Plaza, 3232 Lake Avenue, Wilmette, IL. Friends may pick up packets for other participants; large groups should coordinate with the organizers. Race day registration is available for cash or check only.
The event supports two charities: The WINGS Program, Inc. and Camp Thunderbird Charitable Foundation. Volunteers are needed for roles such as course marshal, water station, and packet pickup.
There are no water stations on the course due to congestion. Post-race water and granola bars will be available at the finish area and the main building area. No awards are given, and all children receive a #1 medal. Results are posted online by the timing provider. Public lots and street parking are available. There are no refunds. The event proceeds regardless of weather, with changes communicated if severe weather occurs. Carpe Diem Races and the municipality reserve the right to change the course.
