Wings for Life World Run Wixom
The Wings for Life World Run in Wixom is a local edition of a global running event organized by Wings for Life World Run. The event includes runners and wheelchair participants who compete without a fixed finish line. A Virtual Catcher Car pursues participants and the race continues until each participant is caught by the car. Entry fees and donations are directed to spinal cord research projects.
The meeting point is at Walled Lake Western High School on the front north side. The course runs along the Michigan Air Line Trail between Beck Road and Wixom Road. One direction on the trail equals 1 mile.
