Wings for Life World Run Victoria
The Wings for Life World Run Victoria is a global running event held at Clover Point Park. This race features a unique format where participants compete against a Virtual Catcher Car rather than running toward a traditional finish line. Participants use a mobile application to track their progress. The Virtual Catcher Car starts 30 minutes after the race begins at a speed of 14 km/h, steadily increasing its pace until it passes every runner.
The course is a scenic waterfront out-and-back route along Dallas Road, stretching from Clover Point to the Ogden Point Breakwater. Runners follow a fully paved oceanfront path characterized by coastal views and open skies. The event is fully accessible for wheelchair participants.
Financial contributions, including 100% of entry fees and donations, are directed toward spinal cord research projects. The local event setup includes a refreshment station, timing services, and race number distribution. Participants can track their performance against specific distance goals: Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
