Wings for Life World Run Locations - Waddell

The Wings for Life World Run is a global running event that uses a unique race format with no traditional finish line. Participants at this location gather at Gateway Park in Waddell, United States. The course at this venue consists of a walking path located around a local park.

The event is accessible for wheelchair participants and athletes of various fitness levels. Instead of a static finish line, the race utilizes a Virtual Catcher Car via a mobile application. This vehicle begins its chase 30 minutes after the start at a speed of 14 km/h, steadily increasing its pace until all runners have been overtaken. Participants keep moving until the application indicates they have been caught by the car.

The gathering features a local setup that includes a refreshment station for those participating. Timing and race numbers are managed through the digital application. Financial contributions from the event, including all entry fees and donations, are allocated directly toward spinal cord research projects. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
