Wings for Life World Run at Vancouver Empire Field
The Wings for Life World Run takes place on May 10, 2026 at Empire Fields in Hastings Park, Vancouver. The event is run through the Wings for Life World Run mobile app and is open to both runners and wheelchair participants.
There is no fixed finish line. Competitors run to stay ahead of the Virtual Catcher Car, a pursuing vehicle that increases its speed until the last athletes are caught. One hundred percent of donations and entry fees are directed to spinal cord research projects.
The course is a closed loop on Empire Track. The track length is 550 m and it has a rubberized surface. The venue includes a local setup with a refreshment station, race numbers and timing.
