Wings for Life World Run : Hobart
The Hobart location of the Wings for Life World Run takes place on May 10, 2026 at Soldiers Memorial Oval on the Queens Domain, a few minutes from the CBD. The event is part of the global Wings for Life World Run series and welcomes both runners and wheelchair participants.
The course uses a 600 m loop that combines the flat, grassed oval and surrounding Domain pathways. The loop is described as smooth and accessible and sits within a larger sporting precinct surrounded by open parkland, walking tracks and Soldiers Memorial Avenue.
The race format does not use a traditional finish line. Participants run alongside a Virtual Catcher Car; the car starts after the race and increases speed until athletes are overtaken. The event is app based and requires use of the Wings for Life World Run mobile app to participate.
Event support details include a refreshment station, timing and race numbers, and local event setup. All donations and entry fees collected for the event are allocated directly to spinal cord research projects. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
