Wings for Life World Run in Calgary
The Wings for Life World Run takes place in Calgary, Canada on May 10, 2026. The meeting point and the race start and finish are at Phil and Sebastian Coffee Roasters in the Simmons Building, 618 Confluence Way SE, Calgary, AB T2G 0G1. The event is accessible for wheelchair participants.
The race has no fixed finish line. Competitors run until they are caught by the Virtual Catcher Car. The car departs after the race start at an initial speed of 14 km/h and increases its speed progressively until the last athletes are caught. One hundred percent of donations and entry fees go directly into spinal cord research projects.
The local route runs along the Riverwalk pathway beside the Bow River. The pathway is paved and lined with trees and greenery and offers views toward the East Village skyline and nearby modern buildings behind historic structures. Local arrangements include a refreshment station, timing and race numbers. Participation is managed through the Wings for Life World Run mobile app, available on the App Store and on Google Play.
