Wine Run Christchurch
Wine Run is scheduled for 16 January 2027 at Rossendale Wines Vineyard, 100 Old Tai Tapu Road, Kennedys Bush, Christchurch, New Zealand. The event takes place across vineyard paths and includes wine tastings and on-site food vendors with live entertainment in the evening.
Distances offered:
- 5 km single lap through the vineyard
- 10 km option by completing two laps
Wine tastings and cheese and crackers are provided at tasting stations spaced at approximately every kilometre. Tasting during the run is optional; water and electrolyte drinks are available along the route and at the finish. Participants receive a memorabilia Wine Run glass and a Wine Run Coin at the finish. The bar operates on a coin system where Wine Run Coins can be purchased when registering or at the event; coins are not refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash or used with food vendors.
The event is restricted to people aged 18 years and over and proof of age is required on entry. The event is non-competitive although participants may choose to time themselves. Costume dressing is encouraged and spot prizes and costume prizes are planned during the evening. Spectators must register separately. Buses are available from locations across Canterbury with assigned pickup points and confirmation required for bus travel. Ample on-site parking is available and outside food or drink is not permitted; security checks bags on entry. Dietary needs may be accommodated if arranged in advance.
