Windmill Half Marathon
The Windmill Half Marathon is a road event of 13.1 miles staged along the Fylde Coast with the race venue at Lytham Windmill on the Green, Lytham St Annes (FY8 5LD). The route passes coastal sections and views of the Ribble Estuary and the Lytham Windmill. Entry is open to all runners aged over 17 on race day.
Event facilities at the venue include bib number collection, toilets, baggage storage, a secure key drop box and on-site medical cover. The registration area opens from 8.00am for bib collection and for entries on the day if places remain. Competitors receive a personalised bib carrying a chip timing tag that must be worn on the front of the running top; a contact/medical form on the back of the bib must be completed before the race. Safety pins are available.
Water stations are positioned at regular intervals on the course and bottled water is provided, with medics on bikes and at the finish area. Portable toilets are placed at the start and finish and additional toilets are marked on the route map. Parking is available in nearby car parks and on-street locations.
All finishers receive a commemorative medal plus drinks and snacks. Prizes are awarded to top finishers in male and female categories and to first veterans in specified age groups.
