Windmill Half Marathon : Lytham St Annes, Sunday 9 August 2026
The Windmill Half Marathon is a 13.1 miles road race that starts and finishes at Lytham Windmill on the Green in Lytham St Annes. The course runs along the Fylde Coast with views of the Ribble Estuary and the windmill.
The event is chip timed and holds a UK Athletics licence. The race headquarters provides bib collection, toilets, baggage storage, a secure key drop, medical facilities and an event enquiry point. Competitors must wear a personalised bib number on the front; the bib carries the timing chip and includes a contact and medical form to complete.
Entry is open to anyone aged over 17 on the day. Online entry accepts major debit and credit cards without a transaction fee; entry fees for 2026 include a standard rate of £32.00 and a reduced rate of £30.00 for UKA or ARC members. Entries on the day may be available if capacity allows.
Water stations are positioned at regular intervals and bottled water is provided, with medics present on the course and at the finish. The route is open to the public in places, so runners should be aware of traffic, pedestrians and cyclists. Results showing official event time and personal chip time are published after the last competitor has finished.
All finishers receive a commemorative medal and there are prizes for top finishers in male, female and veteran categories; prize notifications are sent after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
