Windmill Half Marathon
The Windmill Half Marathon is a coastal road race held in Lytham St Annes on Sunday 9 August 2026. The event starts and finishes on Lytham Green close to the Lytham Windmill and follows a predominantly flat route along the coast, offering sea views along the course. The distance is a half marathon (13.1 miles).
Event facilities at the venue include bib number and t-shirt collection, toilets, baggage storage, a secure key drop box, and medical provision. Bibs carry a chip timing tag that must be worn visibly on the front of the running top. Portable toilets are sited at the start and finish and additional toilets are marked on the route.
The route is open to the public so runners must keep left at all times and be aware of traffic, pedestrians and cyclists. Water stations are placed at regular intervals and bottled water is provided. Medics are present on bikes during the race and at the finish.
Entry information notes that entrants must be aged over 17 on race day. Standard entry fees are listed as £32.00 with a discounted UKA/ARC rate of £30.00. The event states entries have now closed because the race is full. Results showing official and chip times are published after the last competitor has finished.
