The Windmill Half Marathon is a chip-timed road race of 13.1 miles staged along the Fylde Coast. The event is based at Lytham Windmill on the Green, Lytham St Annes (FY8 5LD), and the course starts and finishes on Lytham Green with views across the Ribble Estuary. The route is open to the public so runners should be aware of traffic, pedestrians and cyclists.
Race headquarters at Lytham Windmill provides bib number collection, toilets, baggage storage, a secure key drop, medical facilities and an event enquiry point. Bibs carry the chip timing tag and must be worn on the FRONT of the running top; a contact/medical form on the back must be completed. Bib collection points open from 8.00am, and local collection from the organiser's office is available the week before the race between 10.00 and 16.00.
Entry is open to anyone aged over 17 on the day. Fees listed are Standard Entry £32.00 and UKA / ARC Members £30.00; online entry accepts major debit and credit cards with no transaction or handling fee for those card types. Standard entry terms and conditions apply.
Water stations are positioned at regular intervals and bottled water is provided with caps removed. Medics are present on the course and at the finish. All finishers receive a commemorative medal and post-finish drinks and snacks. Individual prizes are awarded to top finishers in overall and veteran categories, with winners notified by email after the event.
