Windmill 10k - Remembrance Day
The Windmill 10k is a road race held in Lytham St Annes with the event headquarters on Lytham Green near Lytham Windmill. The course runs along the seafront and is covered by a full road closure. The course is certified by the Association of UK Course Measurers and is RunBritain licensed.
All finishers receive a commemorative medal and are offered drinks and snacks at the finish. Chip timing is used and event photos are available. Prize categories include overall male and female places and veteran age-group prizes; prize winners are contacted after the event.
Entry information published by the organiser states a standard fee of £25.00 and a UKA/ARC fee of £23.00. Entry is open to runners aged over 15 on race day. Entry closes on Wednesday 4th November unless the limit of 2250 places is reached. Group entry options and discounts are available for groups of 4 to 10 runners.
Race packs must be collected at the race venue on the day and participants should bring their email confirmation or payment receipt. Parking is available on pay and display bays nearby. Toilet facilities are provided at the venue, at the start area and at points on the course; some route toilets require 40p. A water station is located at 5k and another at the finish; medics are stationed at the water point and at the finish. The route is open to the public so there may be pedestrians and cyclists and organisers advise awareness of other road users. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
