About the race
The Windmill 10K takes place on Remembrance Sunday along the Lytham St Annes coastline with the event village, registration, start and finish on or around Lytham Green (FY8 5LD). Before the race there is a traditional two-minute silence to mark Remembrance Sunday.
Facilities at the venue include toilets, event registration, baggage facilities, first aid/medical cover and nearby refreshments. The route is chip timed, certified accurate by course measurers and holds relevant licensing. There is a full road closure for the event. Toilets are available along the route; some portable units require 40p to operate.
Entry is open to everyone aged 15 and over. Standard entry fees are listed as £26.50 and UKA/ARC entry at £24.50; group entry options and discounts are offered. Entry closes Wednesday 4th November unless the limit of 2,250 places is reached. Race packs must be collected from the Race Makers on the day; registration opens at 08:00 and closes at 10:45. Runners should bring their email confirmation or payment receipt to collect their pack. Medical information must be completed on the back of the running number and the number must be pinned to the front of the running top.
Water stations are provided at 5k and at the finish, with bottled water and medical cover at those points. All finishers receive a commemorative medal and post-race drinks and snacks.
