Orlando Health Town of Windermere Run Among the Lakes 2026
This community running event in Windermere, Florida takes place on October 10, 2026, and marks the 25th anniversary of Run Among the Lakes. The event offers two official race distances and a separate kids run.
- 10K (6.2 Miles) - run-only; participants are asked to complete the course within 1 hour 45 minutes.
- 5K (3.1 Miles) - run or walk allowed.
All registered runners receive a custom event t-shirt and a commemorative finisher medal. Organizers note a special 25th anniversary medal for this year. Due to a prior delivery delay, unreceived 2025 medals will be available at packet pickup and on race day. To guarantee a correct t-shirt size, register before August 30, 2026. Registration is capped at 1,200 runners and walkers.
Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers in each distance, male and female masters champions, and age group awards in 10-year increments. Participants may receive only one award.
A free kids run is offered for children ages 7 and under; no registration is required and kids run participants will not receive an event t-shirt.
Packet pickup is at Windermere Town Hall, 520 Main Street, Windermere 34786, with sessions on Thursday October 8 and Friday October 9 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday October 10 from 6:00 AM to 7:10 AM. Unclaimed packets and awards may be retrieved at the Windermere Town Office at 614 Main Street for up to two weeks after the event. Course maps are provided for both distances.
