About the race
The sixth annual Wind Vineyards Reindeer Run/Walk takes place on November 27, 2026 at Wind Vineyards, 5178 Richmond Highway, Tappahannock, VA 22560, US. The public festival is free to attend; the only cost is participation in the Reindeer Run 5K.
A scenic approximately 5K course passes through the vineyard and around the farm before finishing at the winery. The event includes Christmas tree and live wreath sales, a local vendor fair and craft vendors, food and music, children's activities, a Grape Crusher Monster Ride truck, and a bonfire with s'mores.
Prizes and extras are age‑segmented: the top three finishers age 21 and up receive three bottles of wine, under 21 winners receive nonalcoholic prizes, and a case of wine will be raffled for participants age 21 and up. All registered participants receive a goodie bag that includes a Wind Vineyards Reindeer Run shirt. A portion of event proceeds will be donated to local Christian organizations to provide Christmas presents for underprivileged children.
