Wilmslow Summer Half Marathon
The Wilmslow Summer Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 11 July 2027 in Wilmslow, United Kingdom, with the event base at 1 Kings Close, SK9 5EB. This is the inaugural edition of the race, organised by Run North West Limited and licenced by UKA.
The course is a loop that starts in Wilmslow and returns through the town centre during miles seven to ten. It is described as a flat, fast course with a net downhill profile featuring 108 m descent and 98 m ascent. Roads on the route will be closed for the race, and organisers provide free town centre parking and road closures intended to minimise disruption for local residents. Event services include cheer zones and crowd support on the town centre section. Presentations take place immediately after the race for the top five male and top five female finishers based on gun times. Prize vouchers are awarded for the top five places and vet prizes are available for age groups from V35 in five-year increments plus first U20; vet prizes are issued by email and are based on chip times. Prize values are listed for the top five finishers.
Entry is open to runners aged 17 and over. Fees include early spaces at £35 for the first 1000 entries, standard unattached entry at £45 and attached entry at £43, with a booking fee and optional technical finisher t-shirt available. The official race charity partner is The Christie; participants may fundraise on its behalf. Refunds are not offered, but transfers to another runner are allowed via the event portal.
