Wilmslow Summer Half Marathon 2027
The Wilmslow Summer Half Marathon is the inaugural half marathon organised by Run North West, held in Wilmslow on 11 July 2027. The route is a loop of 13.1 miles that starts in the town centre, follows the event's traditional 10K route, returns through the town during miles seven to ten and finishes after a final section on the Alderley Edge bypass.
The course is certified and has a net downhill profile with 108 m descent and 98 m ascent. Roads on the route will be closed on a rolling basis and an approximate three hour cut off will be applied; participants expected to take longer than three hours may be required to complete later sections on pavements for safety.
Facilities listed for race day include chip timing, mile markers, four drinks stations with SiS gel and hydration options, bag drop and free baggage storage, first aid, toilets, pacers and a bespoke medal for all finishers. Race HQ is at Run North West HQ, 1 Kings Close, SK9 5EB; the closest train station is Wilmslow, about 0.3 miles from the start line. There is town centre parking and bike storage at Race HQ.
Entry fees are shown as £43 for club runners and £45 for non-club runners. Minimum age for entry is 17. Prize vouchers are offered to the top five finishers and to veterans from V35 in five-year increments; first prize values for top placings are listed for both men and women and presentations take place after the race based on gun times.
