Event details
The Wilmslow Summer 10K is a road race on 12 July 2026. The event is UKA licensed and the course is certified as an accurate 10K (course number 23/287). Entry fees are listed as £28 for club runners and £30 for non-club runners. The minimum age for entry is 15 years. Entries close when the event reaches its limit or at midnight the night before the race; there will be no on-day entries or an official waiting list.
Course and race format
The race is a one-lap 10 km course that starts in Wilmslow town centre and finishes on the outskirts of the town centre. The route passes through residential streets and country roads, with a generally flat profile, a faster first 5 km and one hill around the 8th kilometre. The race is held on fully closed roads and uses chip timing. Pacers are provided for finish times from 35-80 minutes, with pacers every 2.5 minutes between 35 and 70 minutes.
Facilities, prizes and results
Facilities include km markers, drinks (halfway and finish), bag drop, first aid and toilets. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and can opt for a commemorative technical finishers t-shirt. Prizes are awarded for top finishers and veteran categories; presentations for the top three male and female finishers are based on gun times, veteran prizes are sent by post and based on chip times.
