Event Details
The Wilmslow Summer 10K is scheduled for Sunday 12 July 2026. The entry fee is £28 for club runners and £30 for non-club runners. Entries close at midnight the night before the race or when capacity is reached; there are no entries on the day and no official waiting list.
The Route
The race is a single-lap 10 km course that starts in Wilmslow town centre and finishes on the outskirts of the town centre. The course passes through scenic country roads and leafy residential streets. It features a mix of flat running, with one hill in the 8th kilometre. The race is run on fully closed roads and is a UK Athletics licensed event with a certified, accurate distance (course number 23/287).
Event Features
The race includes chip timing, a drinks station at the halfway point and at the finish, and pacers every 2.5 minutes from 35 to 70 minutes. All finishers receive a bespoke medal. There is an optional commemorative technical finisher's t-shirt. Services include kilometre markers, free baggage storage, toilets, first aid, and a post-race snack. Free high-resolution images are available for download after the event. Results are available immediately via text message and online.
Prizes and Transfers
Prizes are awarded to the top 5 overall finishers and to veterans. The top 3 male and female finishers (based on gun time) will receive prizes at the post-race presentation. Veteran prizes, based on chip times, are awarded for categories from V35 to V80+ in 5-year increments and for U20 runners. Participants who cannot attend may transfer their place to another person for free or switch to a virtual race option to be completed within a month of race day.

Race HQ and event location is at Run North West HQ, 2 St Ann's Parade, Wilmslow, SK9 1HG. There is ample parking available in Wilmslow Town Centre on Sundays. The closest train station is Wilmslow, located across the road from Race HQ and 0.2 miles from the start line. Bike storage is available at Everybody Leisure, Wilmslow SK9 1BU.
