The course is a single lap that starts in the town centre of Wilmslow, runs on scenic country roads, and finishes on Mobberley Road / Sandy Lane, a little over one mile from the start. The event is licensed by UK Athletics and carries course measurement number 23/287.

Entry is open to those aged 15 and over. Standard fees are shown as £30 for unattached entries and £28 for attached entries, with a £1 booking fee and a technical finisher t-shirt available for an additional £9.95. UK Athletics members receive a £2 discount at registration.
Prizes are presented after the race for the top three male and female finishers based on gun times. Veteran prizes are distributed by post and are determined from chip times for age groups from V35 to V90+ in five year increments; there is also a prize for the first under 20 in each gender, with one prize per individual.
