Wilmington High School Alumni 5K Run/Walk
The Wilmington High School Alumni, Inc. 2nd Annual 5K Run/Walk takes place in Wilmington, DE on September 26, 2026. The event is based at the Cab Calloway School of the Arts on North Dupont Road and benefits graduating seniors from New Castle County high schools who are furthering their education.
The event includes multiple registration categories and fee levels. Standard 5K registration is listed at $35 with a $40 day of registration fee. A student category is listed at $25. A competitive walking category is listed at $35 and requires walking for the entire race.
Amenities listed for preregistered and day of participants include event t-shirts while supplies last, medals for age group winners, food, drinks, and music. Awards cover overall male and female winners and overall masters, scored by gun time, while other age groups are scored by chip time. Medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in 10 year age groups from 9 and under through 80 and over, and to the top three male and female walkers.
Timing is provided by R2R Timing using the MYLAPS BibTag timing system. Course details and the published route are available online. Bibs are non transferable and registrations are non refundable.
