Will of the Land 5k Glow Run
The Will of the Land 5k Glow Run - Paint the Cloud Green is an inaugural event held in the streets of downtown Saint Cloud, Florida. Organized by the Will Power Athletics Club in partnership with the City of St. Cloud, the run follows a brand new course designed for participants of various interests.
Participants can choose from the following event distances:
- 5 km glow run
- 0.5 mile (approx. 800 m) downtown walk/kids run
The event serves as a fundraiser for the Will Power Athletics Club scholarship program, which assists athletes with costs related to training, transportation, and insurance. The 5k course is open to runners, joggers, and walkers, and also welcomes strollers and dogs.
Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in several age categories, ranging from youth (12 and under) to masters (80+). Special recognition includes a trophy for the top team and the "Glowing Crazy" award for the most spirited team. In the 0.5 mile walk and kids run, the first 100 finishers receive medals, and the top three most spirited individuals earn special awards.
The run is integrated into the city's Paint the Cloud Green St. Patrick's Day Celebration. Following the athletic events, the festivities continue with live music, food, drinks, and various vendors.
