Arctic Marathon : Finnish Lapland running program
The Arctic Marathon is a multi-day running program based at Santa Claus Village in Rovaniemi, located on the Arctic Circle. The event is organised as a guided five day programme that combines road and trail running with local winter activities and included services.
Participants stay in Finnish style log cabins with private saunas and full board. The programme includes husky sled excursions, an ice pool swim, Northern Lights excursions, and a trophy dinner hosted by Santa Claus. Airport transfers between Rovaniemi airport and the holiday village are included.
The race circuit runs around Santa Claus Village along the Arctic Circle line. Surfaces include snow roads and forest single track with short steep sections; accumulated elevation is limited. Reported temperatures for the event period range roughly from -12°C to -7°C, with organisers citing typical April conditions around -6°C to 2°C. The organisation provides geolocators and support vehicles on course.
