Wildcat Lake Triathlon
The Wildcat Lake Triathlon is a multi-sport event held at Wildcat Lake Park in Bremerton, Washington on July 11, 2026. The course combines an open-water swim, a road cycling leg on rolling hills with breakdown lanes, and a run.
The race format includes these segments:
- 1/4 mile swim starting from the beach in knee-deep water
- 16 mile rolling hills road bike
- 4 mile run
Race registration includes a long-sleeve dry release technical T-shirt and a finisher medal. Packet pickup and an optional pasta feed are mentioned; pickup is available at Silver City Brewery in Silverdale. A mandatory pre-race briefing is scheduled via Zoom on July 9, 2026; the briefing is recorded. Wetsuits are permitted when the water temperature is 85 F or less. Certified lifeguards will be present in kayaks, and certified flaggers will manage major road intersections.
Relay entries are offered in two-person and three-person divisions. Relay teams must designate swimmer, cyclist, and runner; athletes must hold USAT membership or obtain a one-day membership. Relays use an ankle bracelet for the swimmer and handoffs occur inside the transition area.
