Wildcat Lake Triathlon
The Wildcat Lake Triathlon is scheduled at Wildcat Lake Park in Bremerton, Washington on July 11, 2026. The event combines open-water swimming, a road cycling leg, and a trail run on a single-course, point-to-point format within the park area.
- quarter mile swim
- 16 mile road bike
- 4 mile trail run
The swim begins from knee-deep water at the lake beachfront. Wetsuits are permitted if the water temperature is 85 F or less. Certified lifeguards in kayaks are positioned on the swim course to provide assistance; participants are asked to signal for help if needed.
The bike leg follows a 16 mile route through rolling hills and includes breakdown lanes. Certified flaggers will manage major road intersections along the bicycle course. The run follows a 4 mile trail section on company-managed trails near the park.
Registration materials note a long sleeve dry release technical T-shirt and a finisher medal for participants. A pre-race pasta feed and packet pick-up are mentioned; packet pick-up is offered at Silver City Brewery in Silverdale. Relay entries are available for two-person and three-person teams; each relay athlete must hold a USAT membership, including one-day memberships where offered. A mandatory briefing is scheduled via Zoom on July 9, 2026 and will be recorded. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
