Wild Hybrid Lake District - Grasmere Solos
The event takes place on 18 July 2026 at The Showfield, Stock Lane, Grasmere, Cumbria. The event area is at the Grasmere Sports Ground beside Grasmere Lake and surrounded by fells and mountains.
Competitors will complete five functional stations at the sports ground. Short trail runs are included that use the sports ground and nearby paths. There are dedicated Ruck Runs that require competitors to carry and weigh their own packs at registration.
Distances and formats
- 1 km functional run around the sportsground and nearby trail paths.
- 5 km lap of Grasmere Lake from the sportsground.
- 5 km Ruck Run with a pack; women 7 kg, men 10 kg.
- 10 km Ruck Run with a pack; women 7 kg, men 10 kg.
Entries are offered at different price points, including a solo entry priced at £60 and ruck run entries priced from £25 to £30. Live chip timing will be provided by Timing Up North. All ruck run finishers receive Wild Hybrid merchandise and products from event sponsors. Prizes will be awarded for first to third positions in each category.
Parking on site may be charged at £4 depending on weather, and there is public parking nearby. Routes are to be confirmed. Photography will be available for purchase after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
