Wild Hybrid Highlands
Wild Hybrid Highlands takes place at Glamis Castle, located near Forfar and approximately 30 minutes from Dundee. The event utilizes the estate's extensive network of trail paths surrounding the castle grounds, which serve as the central event area. Participants can choose to compete individually in the solos category or as part of a pair.
The event features specific running distances and formats:
- 5 km Ruck Run
- 10 km Ruck Run
In the ruck run categories, participants are required to carry a weighted pack throughout the course. Men must carry a 10 kg pack, while women carry a 7 kg pack. Competitors provide their own packs, and these are weighed at registration to ensure they meet the requirements.
The event includes live chip timing for all participants. All finishers receive merchandise and products from event sponsors. Prizes are awarded to those finishing in the first three positions across each category. On-site parking is available for a fee. Official event photography is captured during the day and is available for purchase following the conclusion of the event. Participation is open to individuals aged 16 and over.
