Event Overview
The Wild Horse Brewing Co. Llandudno Triathlon & Duathlon takes place in its 5th year in June 2026. The event is located in the Victorian seaside town of Llandudno, North Wales, with views of the Great Orme. For the 2026 edition, the event will host the Welsh Triathlon Super Series Stage 3 (Sprint Distance), the Welsh Triathlon National Championships (Sprint Distance), and a World Standard Distance Duathlon Qualifier.
Race Distances
The event offers three race options:
- Sprint Triathlon: A 750m sea swim, a 17.5km bike ride, and a 5km run.
- Standard Triathlon: A 1500m sea swim, a 34.75km bike ride, and a 9.4km run.
- Standard Duathlon: A 5km run, a 34.75km bike ride, and a 9.4km run.
Course Details
The triathlon swim is a sea swim near Llandudno's Victorian pier. The bike course uses a closed-road route around Marine Drive on the Great Orme. The run takes place along the promenade.
Included Amenities
A lively event village offers music, commentary, shopping, and food. The event provides on-course support with marshals, signage, and pick-up vehicles. All participants receive a finisher memento and professional chip timing with live results. The event is conducted bilingually in English and Welsh.
Additional Series Option
A "Closed Road Triathlon Season Pass" offers guaranteed entry to both the Llandudno Triathlon and the Triathlon Y Bala, a choice of Sprint or Standard distances, an exclusive hoody, and combined series results.
