Wild Card
The Wild Card is a single race held at Tyler State Park, 101 Swamp Road, Newtown, PA 18940. It occupies the fifth spot in the BCRR Winter Series, an annual set of weekly races that dates back to 1978 and runs from December through February, weather permitting.
The course changes each year and will measure between 4 miles and 6 miles. The route varies between trails and roads and includes hilly terrain. The event is offered as an individual race entry; participants do not need to be BCRR members to take part in single races. Non-members may register onsite on race day for single event entry.
Registration for this single race opens on September 25, 2026 and closes on January 10, 2027. The listed registration fee for the single race is $25.00. Separate BCRR membership and a dedicated series registration are required for those who wish to register for the full Winter Series. The Winter Series requires an annual membership and includes eleven weekly races; series registration and membership registration begin in the fall each year. Those aiming to compete for series awards must meet series requirements, including participation and a volunteer assignment. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
