Wigton Road Runners 10k
The Wigton Road Runners 10k is scheduled for Sunday 18 October 2026 in Wigton, with Race HQ at Barton Laws, CA7 9QY. The course is an officially measured and certified 10 km route by the Association of UK Course Measurers.
The route is a single loop that uses footpaths and quiet undulating country roads. Road surfaces are described as generally okay. The finish is in Phoenix Park, a short walk from the start. Caution is advised at all turns and competitors should follow marshal instructions.
Race-day facilities and procedures include a safety briefing, available toilets, on-course drinks at about 3 miles and drinks at the finish, and first aid services in attendance. A full course risk assessment, route maps, the race permit, and the measurement certificate will be on display at event HQ.
Entries are limited; the entry fee is listed at £18.00 plus fees, with a £2 discount for affiliated club runners. Registration closes 17 October 2026 at 18:00 and race numbers can be collected from the registration desk on the morning of the event. Proceeds for this edition will be split between Watchtree Nature Reserve and Wigton Youth Station. Every competitor will receive a medal and there will be no prizes or refunds.
