Wicked Wine Run - Great Lawn Park
The Wicked Wine Run takes place at Great Lawn Park in Denver, Colorado. This event combines athletic activity with wine tasting, offering participants a choice between a running course and a tasting walk. The event is strictly for individuals aged 21 and over, with age verification required for all participants and spectators.
Participants can choose from the following course options:
- 5 km: A run or walk where participants receive a finisher medal and a glass of wine at the finish line.
- 1 km: A tasting walk featuring three sampling stations along the route and a fourth tasting at the finish.
The 5 km course includes two water stations to assist with hydration. Runners for this distance are organized in the start chute by pace, with waves departing every few minutes. Those participating in the 1 km walk move at a slower pace to visit the various sampling stations.
The event grounds include an after party area with music, food trucks, games, and vendor stalls. Organizers host dance and costume contests, and participants are encouraged to wear costumes. Spectators who do not wish to run can purchase a tasting-only pass, which includes an etched wine glass and access to purchase wine on-site. Parking is available at the venue for a set fee.
