Wichita Clean Water 5K

The Wichita Clean Water 5K takes place on April 11, 2026, with a start/finish location at 2101 W Sim Park Dr in Wichita. The site is one mile west of the Wichita Art Museum along Museum Blvd/West Sim Park Dr at the workout park.

The event program includes:

  • Clean Water 5K
  • Clean Water Junior 400-meter Run
  • Clean Water Kids 100-meter Dash
  • Virtual Clean Water 5K

The course follows the bike path along the north side of the Arkansas River past Cowtown and Keeper of the Plains to Exploration Place, returns along the bike path south of the river, and crosses the "red bridge" back to the start/finish. Parking is available at 2101 W Sim Park Dr and at the Botanica parking lot just east of the start/finish.

Packet pick-up is available at Wichita First Church of the Nazarene and at the race information table near the starting line on race day.

All registration fees are directed to building borehole wells and providing clean water education in African villages. After eight years the project has supported 51 Wichita borehole wells in countries including Malawi, Zimbabwe, Kenya, DR Congo, Benin, and Ivory Coast. The event partners with Nazarene Compassionate Ministries to deliver wells and water education to affected communities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
