Candy Cane Course - Wichita
The Candy Cane Course takes place at Sedgwick County Park in Wichita on 12/20/2026. The event is Christmas-themed and includes multiple race formats, a virtual option, and a volunteer-then-run category.
Event features include chip-timing with live results and awards, free photos, and treats at the finish area. Several entry types include event swag: a custom bib, a designer shirt, and a finisher medal for the 5K, 10K, and 15K. The 1 Mile is untimed and includes a custom bib, designer shirt, and finisher medal. The kids dash is for ages 10 and under and includes a mini bib, a youth-sized shirt, and a medal; children may run the kids dash on race day without taking the swag for free. The virtual race lets participants run anywhere, at any time, and still receive the event swag. The volunteer then run option asks volunteers to arrive 30 minutes before packet pickup to help, then allows them to run any distance of their choice.
Registering by midnight two Thursdays before race day guarantees a shirt. Youth pricing applies for the 5K and 10K: ages 12 and under are $22. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
