Event overview
The Whitefish Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K Presented by Hammer Nutrition is scheduled for May 16, 2026 in Whitefish, Montana. The event has previously received the Road Runners Club of America Marathon State Championship designation four times. Organizers expect over 1,600 registered runners in 2026 and note that all distances sold out two years in a row. Runners from more than 30 states have been represented each year since 2021.

Course and location
All distances start and finish through the same finish line at Depot Park (510 Railway St., Whitefish, MT 59937). The 5K course splits from the marathon and half just after mile one. The marathon and half run the first 13 miles together and split at mile 13. A post-race party is held in Depot Park. The courses run with views of mountains in the distance and are located near Glacier National Park. The city of Whitefish has been named one of TripAdvisor’s top-50 small towns to visit.
