Whitefish Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K
The Whitefish event on 05/22/2027 takes place at Depot Park in Whitefish, Montana. It includes three race distances held the same day and shares a common start and finish area in Depot Park. Organizers expect over 2,400 participants in 2027.

- Half Marathon: 13.1 Miles
- The Wave 5K: 3.1 Miles
All three distances start together and finish at the same finish line in Depot Park. The marathon and half marathon run the first 13 miles together and split at mile 13. The 5K course splits from the marathon and half shortly after mile one. Depot Park provides a central location where spectators can view the start, the halfway area, and the finish.
Course notes describe lakeside and mountain views, including vistas of Whitefish Lake and Big Mountain. The marathon course is USATF certified and is a Boston qualifier. The marathon route includes an out-and-back section on a paved trail and a steady decline in the final 3 to 4 miles.
The event has received the Road Runners Club of America Marathon State Championship designation four times, has sold out in recent years, and has drawn participants from more than 30 states since 2021. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
