Whitefish Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K - Whitefish, MT
The Whitefish Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K is a multi-distance road race that takes place in Depot Park, Whitefish, Montana. The event has been a four-time recipient of the Road Runners Club of America Marathon State Championship designation and has grown to be among the larger marathons in Montana. Organizers expect over 1,600 runners in 2026 and note that all distances have sold out in recent years.
All race distances start together in Depot Park and finish at the same finish line. The 5K course splits from the marathon and half just after mile one. The marathon and half marathon run the first 13 miles together and split at mile 13. A post-race party takes place in Depot Park near the finish.
The event draws participants from more than 30 states each year since 2021. Whitefish is located just outside Glacier National Park and was named among TripAdvisor’s top-50 small towns to visit; all courses provide distant mountain views. Organizers list special hotel rates for race weekend and nearby attractions include Big Mountain Resort and Glacier National Park.
