Event details
The Whitefish Lake Triathlon is scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2026, at City Beach, Lakeside Blvd, Whitefish, MT 59937. The race includes two event entries: Sprint Tri (price listed as $90; price increases after November 30, 2025) and Sprint Tri Team Relay (price listed as $200; price increases after December 31, 2025). Both events are open to ages 13 to 99.

Course and safety notes
The swim is a point-to-point open water course that starts and finishes at Whitefish City Beach and follows a triangular route marked by buoys; swimmers should keep buoys to their left shoulder. The bike leg is a 20K out-and-back that travels along Whitefish Lake and includes about four miles of hills; the run is a 5K completed as two laps, starting and ending at Whitefish City Beach and following Lakeside Blvd, Dakota Ave, Washington Ave, and Edgewood Place as described.
Traffic and course management details are provided: a police officer will manage the intersection of Edgewood and Wisconsin, cones and a volunteer will mark the bike turnaround on E Lakeshore Dr, and riders are asked to stay to the right, use the road rather than the bike path, and only pass on the left while calling out.
