The route is fully waymarked and contained within Whinlatter Forest. Terrain is described as very hilly with a mixture of hard-packed gravel tracks, single twisting dirt tracks and occasional muddy bridleway. The event is scheduled for winter months when ground frost may occur.
Race HQ will provide toilets and there is space for approximately 200 cars; participants are encouraged to car share. Medical support will be available on the course and refreshments are available from the café. Entry includes a branded event memento, free downloadable event pictures, a packet of mixed wildflower seeds, and prizes for the top three male and top three female finishers.
