The Whinlatter Moon Runner is a night-time head torch trail race held on 14 February 2026 at Whinlatter Forest Park, Keswick, Cumbria (venue: Siskins Cafe). The event distance is 10k. The route is described as very hilly and fully waymarked, with a mixture of hard packed gravel tracks, single twisting dirt tracks and occasional muddy bridleway contained within the forest. Race facilities include a race HQ with toilets, on-course medical support and refreshments available from the cafe. Parking is available for approximately 200 cars. The organiser notes winter conditions are likely, with ground frost and the possibility of sub-freezing temperatures, and suggests warm clothing such as a hat, gloves and a warm jacket.
Included with entry are a branded race memento, free downloadable event photos, a packet of mixed wildflower seeds, prizes for the top three male and top three female finishers plus category prizes, and product samples from event partners.
